Monday Afternoon
Savario "Sage" Principini

INSPIRATION

... The Gibson Les Paul I played is Josh's very own (Thanks so much

Marilyn and Laura) I recorded it one night just shortly after the

beginning of the Dragonfly's journey, it still had his old strings on, I

tried to let these vibrate and guide me like footsteps to the next

note... flow free like the drops of that waterfall...

LYRICS

It’s a Monday afternoon, another day in the Valley

I think I might just go for a ride by the ocean

A strange sense of emptiness mixed with something else

I wish that you could talk to me right now, right now

I ask a wave a question, I think it has the answer

Don’t know how, but somehow, somehow

On a Monday afternoon

On a Monday afternoon

I think I saw an angel smile

On a Monday afternoon

On a Monday afternoon

I knew I had recognized my brother’s eyes

Driving up the 101 sharing all our questions

“...I think that we might have already met, in some other life...”

“...You know I’m writing a new song and I just met someone special

Maybe this one time she’ll be the one I have been waiting for...”

“... I know this secret place with rivers and a waterfall...

...and lots of sage... oh, sage ... and I’ll take you there....”

On a Monday afternoon

On a Monday afternoon

I think I saw an angel smile

On a Monday afternoon

On a Monday afternoon

I knew I had recognized my brother’s eyes

“You know I’m moving back in town and I’ll bring along my puppy”

I say that we should get together soon, oh soon, soon again
