Just heard "Three Strange Days" on WRNR this afternoon and made a mental note to look up the band when I got home...a 'whatever happened to' internet search. Imagine my surprise to learn that Josh had passed away. I am so very sorry. I have fond memories of seeing "School of Fish" perform live in Fells Point, Md. one night. My friend and I were surprised to find Josh sitting outside the club after the show and joined him on the curb for a chat. He was humble, warm and friendly. It was a thrill to hear the band played on the radio a few months later. I remember thinking that if anyone deserved success, he did. My deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

Hello to everyone who loved Josh ! I think I'm the only Brazilian fan around once by the early 90's was a real " hunt treasure " to find SPF albums over here. So I went to San Diego in 91 and then I bought this true gem....3 Strange Days video used to be airplayed on MTV and I was totally " speechless " since the 1st time I saw it....Then I decide to buy this fantastic album from a obviously fantastic band.....I lost my brother when he waz only 32 and I know how terrible is this " vacuum ".... Anyway, I'm quite sure they are happy to see us celebrating their lives.... Thank you. André.

This was written for my first news letter called New Journeys - September 2007. There is a Hebrew word “b’shert” which means some things are fated. I’ve just started reading a new book titled “Wrestling with Angels” by John J. Clayton. I’m reading the “Authors Preface,” page xiii, where the author mentions his deceased son Josh. I looked up the web page given (www.joshclayton.com) where I listen to a song on the intro page and realized the lyrics to the intro song; “Waiting to Be” was exactly what this newsletter was meant to be… “cause you’re waiting to be, what you already are, you’re the only one left in your way, waiting to be what you’ve been from the start...,” “You gotta build your boat, you gotta dream your dream, and raise your sail to the wind, ride the ocean within…” This is pure b’shert!!!! What a wonderful message – thank you God for bring Josh’s message to us. With this message of hope and love, my we rejoice “being who we already are.” So, go and check out this wonderful song and say a prayer for Josh (1967-2000) and his family and friends. Br. Randall
