Josh Clayton-Felt
Window
(A&M)

Though you may not recognize the name, the voice is certainly familiar. Josh Clayton-Felt was the voice and driving force behind School Of Fish. When the band broke up in 1993, Clayton-Felt began writing and demoing his freshly-penned songs, which had taken on a new, funkier direction. Those demos were the basis for Clayton-Felt's solo debut, "Inarticulate Nature Boy," which was recorded in Los Angeles with Clayton-Felt playing all of the instruments, many for the first time. "Window," the first single, is a slow-groove pop charmer with a heavy dose of '70s funk thrown in for good measure. "Window" is a breath of fresh air in the evermore-crowded world of alternative music and is already eliciting excited response from stations such as KNDD/Seattle.
