25 April 2002

The Third Annual Josh Clayton-Felt Memorial Benefit for the Descendants of The Earth was held on April 25th at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. By the end of the four plus hour concert, a capacity crowd experienced over twenty musicians performing songs either written or inspired by Josh. Some of the highlights included Donna DeLory's East-Asian influenced renditions of Dragonfly and Too Cool For This World, Renee Stahl's rousing version of Deer In The Headlights, Chad Fischer and Larry Goldings teaming up on What Good Is Heaven and Backwards World, Colin Hay's performance of Dear J, a School Of Fish reunion with Michael Ward performing Three Strange Days and Euphoria, and many other inspired performances invoking the spirit of Josh.

The evening also included a silent auction of paintings, drawings, prints and photographs from many nationally recognized artists including, Joe Sorren, Garry Baseman and Joel Nakamura whose dragonfly painting is featured on the in- sleeve of Spirit Touches Ground.

Soon we will be posting information here about the performers-- who played, what they played, and how to reach them."
